Legal aid and assistance:
As a result of the health situation, many delegates are approached by members sadly confronted with psycho-social risks; a phenomenon that is clearly on the increase.
ALEBA's social service offers an active and sympathetic ear to delegates and/or members affected by psycho-social risks in their professional careers. ALEBA makes it a point of honour to look after employees in a humane way, without forgetting the legal dimension needed to achieve lasting change for everyone. The aim of raising awareness is to inform the employees concerned about the dangers of these psycho-social illnesses, by giving them the means, advice and strategies they need to deal with this type of problem. The result should be improved wellbeing, not to say well-being, for the employee, which in the long term will lead to increased motivation in the employee's daily work. It is in favourable working conditions that the employee will be able to contribute to better results, with the company itself as the primary beneficiary.
Most of the social support provided in connection with the illness consists of informing sufferers of their rights and duties, not only from a legal point of view, but also in dealing with the various partners in occupational medicine, the National Health Fund (CNS), the National Pension Insurance Fund (CNAP) (early retirement, temporary or other forms of invalidity), the Employment Administration (internal or external redeployment) and so on.
By seeking dialogue and acting in close cooperation with the various ALEBA departments, including Coordination and Communication, the Social Service is able to provide maximum support, advice, strategies and remedies for the difficult situation, whether human, work-related or social, of the employee or delegate concerned.
