German cross-border workers and overtime: ALEBA will campaign for improvements for German cross-border workers
ALEBA is in principle pleased that Finance Minister Gilles Roth announced a series of tax relief measures on 17 July, including the introduction of a special tax credit in the context of overtime taxation for cross-border commuters.
A newly created tax credit is planned from 2024, the amount of which is based on overtime payments and limited to EUR 700. In order to receive the tax credit, a Luxembourg tax return must be submitted.
