« The rights I enjoyed in my native country differ considerably from those acquired as a borderer, and I consider them to be a precious asset and wish to defend them ardently. »
I'm a Building Project Manager at University of Luxembourg – Belval.
I'm originally from New York City and made my home in Thionville after a stint in Scotland, where I live with my husband and our two children as a borderer. This dual identity gives me a unique perspective on border status, a vision forged by the convergence of two distinct cultures, and above all a particular sensitivity to the issues specific to the Franco-Luxembourg border.
The rights I enjoyed in my native country differ considerably from those acquired as a borderer, and I consider them to be a precious asset and wish to defend them ardently, as we borderers are under-represented.
I'm determined to establish balanced and fair representation for border workers, ensuring that our concerns are heard, particularly with regard to teleworking.
As a mother, parenthood has made me deeply aware of crucial issues such as maternity leave, breastfeeding and everything that surrounds such an important period of life. Motherhood has truly shaped my perspective and reinforced my belief in the need to support parents' rights to ensure a healthy work-life balance.
