ALEBA is pleased to announce, especially to its Belgian members, the partnership with the
"Centrale générale des syndicats libéraux de Belgique (CGSLB)" that it has just established.
"The two trade unions, CGSLB and ALEBA, share common values, including political neutrality and independence", says Roberto Mendolia.
One of the aims of this partnership is to facilitate the various procedures relating to social benefits, such as FOREM, for ALEBA members who have lost their jobs and are living in Belgium. As a recognised and experienced trade union, the CGSLB helps and assists its contributing members in putting together their personalized file, taking into account the family situation and the spouse's income.
"This new partnership with the CGSLB offers complementary services to our members. Of course, ALEBA will always remain the reference for Luxembourg labour law and social security law (family allowances, pensions, sickness, etc.), but we want the CGSLB to become the reference for our Belgian resident members," explains Roberto Mendolia, President of ALEBA. "More broadly, our aim is also to encourage the sharing of information between the two organizations, and to help each other, with the aim of defending the professional interests and protecting the rights of our members and employees.
ALEBA invites its members residing in Belgium who have been made redundant to contact the CGSLB and to register with FOREM within 7 days of the end of the employment contract in order to obtain Belgian unemployment benefits.
